The speaker described the various methods and devices in use for combatting the submarine, and gave consideration to many of the suggestions which have been made for defeating the operation of this naval menace. A historical r~sum~ of the subject was also presented. A large number of lantern slides were shown.

After a brief discussion the thanks of the meeting were extended to Mr. Steinmetz.
