## Abstract From its earliest days, much investigative work in informetrics has been concerned with inequality aspects. Beginning with the wellโknown Gini coefficient as a measure of the concentration/inequality of productivity within a single data set, in this study we look at the problem of measu

โฆ Synopsis
Eleven criteria are suggested as suitable for measures of similarity between distributions, For seven measures it is discussed whether they satisfy these measures or not. Two measures, the proportional similarity and the Hellinger coefficient satisfy all the eleven criteria.

In this paper, we first review several popular similarity measures between fuzzy sets and then extend those similarity measures to intuitionistic fuzzy sets. We also propose two new similarity measures between intuitionistic fuzzy sets. These similarity measures have been found to satisfy some simil
