โฆ Synopsis
Some measurements have been performed on the adsorption of helium on solidified layers of hydrogen, neon, nitrogen and oxygen on glass in the temperature range from 4 --IยฐK, at low values of the equilibrium pressure to a maximum of about 10 ~tb.
Comparing the results of these measurements with those of helium on a glass surface, under the same circumstances of temperature and equilibrium pressure, it appeared that the quantity of helium adsorbed on a hydrogen layer is very small at 4.2, 3.2 and 2.2ยฐK, viz. 1/7 0 to 1/3 5

A method is described to measure refractive indices of gases at atmospheric pressure and at a frequency of 25,000 Mc/s. The method is based on the change in resonance frequency of a cavity, first filled with a reference gas (nitrogen) and after that with the gas of which the refractive index is to b
