✦ Synopsis
Measurements and simulation are used to study fast-fading variations of the received continuous-wave signal envelope in nonline-of-sight (NLOS) indoor environments at 1800 MHz. A recently developed joint non-Gaussian statistical model, based on the bivariate t-distribution, is proved to be superior to the Rayleigh distribution in 60% of the examined cases.
