✦ Synopsis

The eddy-current decay method for measurement of electrical resisitivity was successfully used on pure aluminium samples in magnetic fields to 8 T. It was found that the coil system should be supported firmly to prevent any movement or vibration. Probe vibration in a strong magnetic field leads to signal distortion and inaccurate measurements, due to the emf generated by moving the coil windings normal to the magnetic field lines. Thus fixing becomes more important as the field strength increases.

A miniaturized probe was designed and built to provide detailed data on fields induced by a uniform 60-Hz magnetic field in homogeneous models of rat and human. The probe employed three silver wires twisted and potted in an 8-cm hypodermic needle. The exposed tips of the wires formed three sensing e

## Abstract The analytical modelling of the excitation of a Wu and King loaded dipole by an oblique transient electric‐plane wavefront has been revisited and extended in order to analyze in detail the physical phenomena involved in the time and space domains. The role of several components of the c
