## Abstract In the pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy, H‐Ras (a small molecular weight G‐protein) and matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) act as pro‐apoptotic, accelerating the apoptosis of retinal capillary cells, a phenomenon that predicts its development and the activation of MMP9 is under the c
