Mating behaviour of Penaeus vannamei was observed during January, 1986. Mating behaviour was divided into four phases: (1) approach, (2) crawling, (3) chasing, and (4) mating. Male mating and spermatophore transfer to the mature female take place at intermolt stage C4. The glutinous spermatophore em
