✦ Synopsis

This paper introduces mathematical models of the compaction of a concrete mix. Models are aimed at a computer design of new building elements and of new engineering equipment. The concrete mix is described as a viscoelastic material and as a Bingham type material. Further, the air escape from the mix is studied. The air escape causes a decrease in the volume of the mix, the concrete mix changes its structure and a fresh concrete arises as a final product of the compaction process. Finally, the paper characterizes briefly the optimal control and describes heat effects in the mix during the compaction process. Properties of the models mentioned above, the results of numerical experiments, are illustrated graphically.

This paper presents a one-dimensional mathematical model of enclosure fire dynamics. The model is based on the fundamental equations of mass, momentum and energy and uses the top hat velocity and temperature profiles for the movement of plume gases. A computational algorithm is also developed to sol
