✦ Synopsis

The division of a living cell, such as the whitefish blastula, is modeled with the Ovals of Csssini as the basic building block. The model uses two fixed points which could correspond to the approximate center of the chromosomes about which the nuclei reforms in the divided cell. The location of these points are described in terms of the scaling parameter used to maintain a constant volume under the transformation.
