✦ Synopsis

This paper is concerned with the problem of finding a priori constitutive inequalities in finite elasticity. It is required here that the response function of a general elastic material be such as to render a strong localization of Hadamard's inequality valid in every infinitesimal deformation superimposed on every finite deformation of a certain class. The consequences of this assumption are illustrated by means of some examples.

On montre les restrictions que cette in6galit6 pose sur la loi de comportement en utilisant quelques exemples.

In this paper, finite elastic-plastic deformations of hardening materials are analyzed based on the modified multiplicative decomposition of the left stretch tensor. This decomposition is the modified form of the Metzger and Dubey's decomposition used in the frame work of the principal axes of the l
