Systems in Canada -has also announced the development of a kerosene-fueled 1 kWe cogeneration unit for the Japanese residential market, featuring a kerosene reformer developed by Nippon Oil Corporation. Kerosene accounts for 26% of residential energy requirements in Japan. Further joint development will continue, to improve electrical and heat recovery efficiencies, reliability and durability. A market launch for Japanese fiscal 2006 will be considered on successful completion of the verification testing.
