✦ Synopsis
By explicit solutions of the relatw~stic wave equation corresponding to strong singular (nonrenormalizable) magnetic dipole interactions, we show how very massive almost stable resonances, as well as normahzable stable states, can be formed from light or massless fermionic constituents.
Stan Ulam liked simple mathematical and physical models, but profound and unusual, and he provided many instances where simple models opened up new directions. The present model of mass generation is dedicated to this aspect of his memory.
