โฆ Synopsis
The mass transfer associated with the regeneration of a single pellet of porous catalyst is pescribed. Local carbon burning rate is taken to be first or&r with respect to local partial pressure oxygen. Oxygen and carbon concentration profiles in the pellet are obtained as functions of time for a spherical catalyst pellet surrounded by a gas film. From these results, over-all carbon burning rate equations for the pellet are obtained.
