The paFor reports results obtained during mperimantal studies of the overall mass transfer between a liquid and the walls of a type of electrochemical reactor which consists of coaxial cylinders and which associates the axial flow of electrolyte with the rotation of the inner cylinder. Three intercylinder gap widths, 2.5 mm; 5.0 mm and 7.5 mm respectively, were studied. The experimental variations of the Sherwood number Sh as a function of the axial Reynolds number Re, and of the Taylor number Ta are aualyscd, principnRy the laminar vortex regittm is covered in the experiments and empirical correlations are deduced.
