This paper describes the use of high resolution capillary gas chromatography combined with negative ion atmospheric pressure ionization mass spectrometry (NIAPIMS) for the analysis of an air particulate extract for mononitropyrenes and mononitrofluoranthenes, some of which are powerful bacterial mut

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Prostaglandins (PGA~2~, PGE~1~, PGE~2~, PGF~2α~) and their methyl esters served as standards to show the possibility of application of mass spectrometry with extraction of dissolved ions at atmospheric pressure (EDIAP) for prostaglandin identification. Applying EDIAP mass spectrometry to the soft coral Plexaura homomalla, all the prostaglandins and their derivatives described in the literature were identified.
