## Abstract Metallic platinum was photodeposited on TiO~2~ particles, and morphological characteristics of the Pt/TiO~2~ catalyst were determined. The dispersion of metallic platinum was uniform and did not alter the morphology of the TiO~2~ particles. However, absorbance of the Pt/TiO~2~ catalyst

β¦ Synopsis
Several gaseous reaction equilibria Involving TiO and T102 were studied by mass spcctrometry and the results were used to derive the dissociation energies of the two titanium oxides. Isomolecular exchange reactions of.TiO with AI0 and BaO gave highly concordant results Icading to @(TiO) = 662.7 f 6.3 kJ/mol(6.87 +-0.07 eV), which combines with other recent work to establish firmly @(TiO). For TiOl, the heat of atomization, Dt(TiOz), was derived as 127i.9 * 11.7 kJlmot (13.18 + 0.12 eV). From electron impact threshold measurements, the ionization potentials of TiO and TiOl were found to be 6.70 and 9.54 eV, respcctivcly, both f 0.10 cV. The thermochemical data for TiO and TiO+aie in accord with the reIativeIy smalI cross section observed for the process Ti + 0 + TiO*+ e at thermal energies.

## Abstract Sialylation of glycoproteins is vital for the function or physicochemical properties of a protein. It becomes more and more important to develop approaches that can be used to efficiently isolate and identify sialylated glycopeptides or glycoproteins for monitoring changes in glycoprote
