✦ Synopsis

A potent toxin isolated from Peniciliium islandieum Sopp was found to have the composition Cz4H31N507CI~. Mass spectrometric investigation of a partial acid hydrolyzate showed that it has the structure of cyclochlorotine. The mass spectral characteristics of polyamino alcohol-related derivatives of peptides containing P-phenylalanine, a-amino butyric acid and dichloroproline were determined in the course of this work.
