Abstract

Under electron impact conditions the mass spectrometric behaviour of secondary and tertiary para‐substituted benzenesulphinamide derivatives has been studied. The fragmentation modes of these compounds, including a characteristic H~2~O loss from the molecular ions of N‐benzylamides, deduced with the aid of high‐resolution techniques, are described.

The electron ionisation induced decomposition pathways of a series of new coumarins, three psoralens, one allopsoralen and one angelicine have been studied in detail with the aid of mass analysed ion kinetic energy spectrometry. The examined compounds exhibit decomposition patterns well related to t
