β¦ Synopsis
The mass spectra of eight N-amino compounds are recorded and discussed, together with some data from literature sources.
COMPOUNDS in which an amino group is attached to a nitrogen atom have rarely had their mass spectra recorded, and do not appear to have been studied systematically. *
The mass spectrum of N-aminohexamethylene imine is avai1able.l In these laboratories Elias2 studied 1-amino and 2-amino-l,2,3-benzotriazole. At about the same time, the mass spectrum of a compound C,H,,N, was being examined; its properties were consistent with a structure containing two N-amino group^.^ Mass spectral differences from amines which were observed led to a study of some representative compounds. This report covers the mass spectra of five N,N-disubstituted hydrazines, two acid hydrazides and one ketone hydrazone.
