โฆ Synopsis
Mass
spectra have been taken of benzene extracts from two typical carbon blacks, under various ionising energies and ionisation chamber temperatures.
The results broadly support previous studies, by other methods, in which fused-ring hydrocarbons were found to be the dominant constituents.
A number of heretofore unobserved species are found in lesser quantities.
Their identification is uncertain, but they seem likely to be alkanes, alkenes, dienes and other non-aromatics. Some species of large masses have been observed, extending up to about mass 646. They appear to be fused-ring hydrocarbons.

## Abstract In this work, a complementary experimental and theoretical approach is used to unravel the formation of byproducts in the autoxidation of cyclohexane. The widely accepted vision that cyclohexanone would be the most important precursor of undesired products was found inconsistent with se
The electrochemical reduction of carbon black particles dispersed in methylene chloride was monitored in situ with electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. The broad EPR signal is converted to a signal with intermediate linewidth (AH, -23 G) in both CSX-99 and BP-1300 carbon blacks. This
