β¦ Synopsis
The interpretation of the mass spectra of new phosphorus containing organic compounds is presented. In these compounds, the phosphorylated hydrazono group, > C = N-NH-P(X)(OR) 2 , (X = O, S; R = CH 3 , C 2 H 5 ), is condensed on the annular carbon from the 3-methyl-2(3H)benzoxazolone ring. Elucidation of the fragmentation pathways was aided by exact mass measurements and the observation of metastable transitions.

## Abstract The mass fragmentation behaviour of 3,4βdihydroβ1__H__β2,3βbenzothiazine 2,2βdioxides was studied. The rationalizations suggested are supported by accurate mass measurements, metastable evidence and deuterium labelling.
A study of the fragmentation of 1-methyl-3-(2-benzothiazolyllhydrazono)-2-indolinone on electron impact reveals that the major processes involve N-N bond fission and the competing loss of CO from the molecular ion.
The chemical ionization mass spectra of five isomers of G&O (acetone, propionaldehyde, oxetane, propylene oxide and aUyl alcohol) have been determined using a variety of reagent gases (H2, D2, NJH,, C02/H2 and Corn2). The [CJβ¬,O]+ ions produced by protonation of these isomers undergo very similar re
