β¦ Synopsis
We report on a schizophrenic patient, in whom drug-induced tardive dystonia and parkinsonism as well as depressive symptoms and panic attacks improved remarkably following electroconvulsive therapy. The present finding suggests that the electroconvulsive therapy reduced tardive dystonia possibly by enhancing the dopaminergic function in the brain.
