Abstract
We present the results of an Author Cocitation Analysis focusing on Nash, Harsanyi, and Selten and the top 24–27 authors with which each is cocited in the five years prior to their (1994) receipt of the Nobel Prize for Economics (1989:1993) and the five years following (1995:1999). We explore the different impacts that these three authors' work had on scholarship in these two time periods. Preliminary results show a substantial core of game theory authors anchoring the center of all three PFNets and unique sets of “penumbral” authors frequently cocited with each of the three winners.
