β¦ Synopsis
Rand Fielding, moody, dynamic and aloof, preys on billion dollar companies, making himself millions in the process. He buys what he wants, when he wants it, people included. In Rand's world everything has a price and a best-before date, especially women.
Rand's never had a dog and doesn't have time for one. But a surprise gift of what his business partner calls "man's best friend"βa goofy, disruptive, stubborn pup who quickly develops a taste for Rand's Italian shoesβputs him in the market for a professional dog trainer.
Upbeat, open and uncomplicated, Tessa Darwin supports her mom and dotes on her practical younger sister, Annie. Tessa's goal is to become a vet, but until she can pull that off financially, she does what she loves, works for Dawg's Inn Kennels and trains dogs.
Rand hires Tessa and tells her to get his newly acquired, shoe-eating, carpet-destroying fur ball under control, so he can work without distraction.
Tessa instantly falls in love with the wilful pup and works her training magic to bring him to heel. All goodβuntil she also falls in love with the pup's dark, handsomeβtotally unattainableβowner. This is not good. Not good at all.
Tessa's pretty sure bringing Rand Fielding to heel is way beyond her skill set. But no way can you blame a girl for trying...
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
I often wonder why I write romantic stories or books. I mean it's not as if the world needs another romance. Aren't there thousands of great ones out there already? Seriously, it's a confusion of mine. Then there's this: Why would a reader read one of my books when a river of wonderful stories flow endlessly beneath her/his click button? Of course, I have no clue.
So Dear Readers, you remain an intriguing mystery to me. All I know is that for some inexplicable reason, I work for your reading pleasure. Every story I write comes with the wild hope that it will bring you a smile, a tear, or a sigh.
The happy ending part is a guarantee.
