Trigonal Na 3 Li(MoO 4 ) 2 •6H 2 O was found to be an attractive, simultaneously χ (2) -and χ (3) -active nonlinear optical crystal. We investigated its basic optical properties and observed several nonlinear effects, namely many-phonon SRS, almost twooctave Stokes and anti-Stokes lasing combs, SHG,

✦ Synopsis
We present new manifestations of χ (3) -lasing observed under one-micron picosecond pumping in calcite (CaCO 3), one of the oldest optical and nonlinear-laser crystals. Among the χ (3) -phenomena are 19 Stokes and anti-Stokes wavelength comb generation of more than two octaves (from 0.3734 μm to 1.6293 μm) and self-conversion of Raman-lasing frequencies into the region of third harmonic generation via many-step cascaded χ (3) ↔ χ (3) processes. h (104) || k hex
