β¦ Synopsis
This book is designed as a three part guide on how to deal with one single key aspect of corporate affairs -crisis management communications. The authors hope that it will help readers develop and tailor their own crisis strategy to suit their business. The authors argue that the ultimate test of an organization's communication skill is how it deals with a crisis. Identifying areas of risk in advance is critical and the work discusses procedures both managerial and computer based to help tackle such risks efficiently. Part 1 of the book deals with understanding crises and theory of communication and Part 2 with practical crisis communication including steps to prepare and manage the process as it continues. Part 3 contains a series of appendices designed to add weight to the earlier discussion. The appendices contain a lot of material for individuals to work through as they assess their response arrangements.
