✦ Synopsis

was determined that an increase in subarachnoid blood was associated with a wors e neurologic outcome in placebo patients but not in nimodipine-treated patients. No side effects were noted in the nimodipine-treated patients. The authors conclude that nimodipine is efficacious in reducing the occurrence of severe neurologic deficits due to cerebral artery spasm in patients who are neurologically normal after subarachnoid hemorrhage.
