✦ Synopsis

THIS small monograph is concerned with malignant tumours in organ-transplant recipients.

Transplantation of organs has much to contend with, and a vast literature has accumulated in world medical literature concerning the relationship between immunity and cancer. Now another hazard has reared its ugly head-namely, the occurrence of malignant disease in patients who have received organ transplants.

The author has been at some pains to produce evidence to show that cancer does occur more frequently in experimental animals and in humans who have been subjected to organ transplantation.
