It has previously been demonstrated that treatment of mitotic PtK 1 cells with 10-20 Β΅g/ml cytochalasin J (CJ) blocks or slows chromosome motion and has a significant effect on spindle architecture [Snyder and Cohen, 1995: Cell Motil. Cytoskeleton 32:245-257]. Spindle microtubules (MTs) were shown t
