at Manchester by the end of March 2006, as part of a programme designed to cut costs and to realign its global capacity more in line with market demand. The Manchester facility, with about 40 employees, mainly serves the UK packaging market with colour additives.

The move should have no impact on customers for wire and cable products, for engineering compounds and for certain concentrate ranges that were already being supplied from other PolyOne facilities throughout Europe. This decision also does not affect PolyOne's Polymer Coatings Systems business unit, which manufactures vinyl plastisols, inks and additive dispersions at a plant in Widnes.
