The slow combustion of methane and ethylene has been studied under static conditions in a quartz reactor using the following mixtures: CH4: 0, = 1: 2 and C&: 0, = 1: 1. By measuring the consumption of tbe reagents and the accumulation of radicals, the relation between the rate of the hydrocarbon con
