Mahogany Tales is a small collection of short stories, which revolve around the lives of four teenage black girls, Ciara, Porsha, Andrea, and Briana. First is Ciara, who moves down south from Chicago after he father's death, and deals with her crappy new life with her step mother and step sisters. Porsha, a born & raised city girl watching as her home suffers from the effects of gentrification, who meets a young man willing to help her preserve the culture of her beloved home. Andrea, who suffers from a curse that was put on er when she was just an infant. Briana, an introverted book lover who keeps to herself, and begins an unsuspecting romance with a bad boy.
