You can't hide from the past forever.
Sometimes it comes back to bite you.
Twenty-five years ago Christine tried to spare Magni the pain she saw in his future even though it meant he would never be hers.
He didn't listen.
Now she carries a burden no one else can see and that he refused to hear. The truth of what happened to his wife.
Magni is a bitter man. And it's his own damn fault. He lost his wife and cut off the only person who ever put his own happiness before theirs. For years he's tried to spare Christine the reminder that he exists, hoping to ease the pain and guilt he put on her in a moment of weakness.
But it's been hard.
And he's tired of pretending he doesn't want her.
