✦ Synopsis

Magnetotransport

measurements in pulsed fields up to 46 T and at temperatures between 1.4 and 210 K have been performed on thin semimetallic epitaxial layers of Sc,_,Er,As buried inside insulating GaAs. A consistent description is obtained of the magnetic field dependence of the Hall resistance and the different frequencies of the Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations.

The scaling behavior of the effective activation energy of high-quality epitaxial c-oriented Bi 2 Sr 2 Ca(Cu 1Àx Co x ) 2 O d thin films with 0 6 x P 0.025 has been studied as a function of temperature and magnetic field. For all samples, the effective activation energy scales as U(T, l 0 H) = U 0 (
