✦ Synopsis
The beating pattern of Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations in a 2D electron system in the presence of a Rashba zero-field spin splitting is reproduced. It is shown, taking into account the Zeeman splitting, that the explicit formulae for the node position well describe the experimental data. The extracted spin-orbit interaction strength is found to be magnetic field independent, in agreement with the basic assumptions of the Rashba model.

The spin accumulation in a single quantum dot (QD) ring is investigated in the presence of both a magnetic flux penetrating though it and the Rashba spin-orbital (RSO) interaction. The RSO interaction, which is assumed to exist only in the QD and other regions are free from it, induces a spin-depend
