✦ Synopsis
We report on magnetoresistance (MR) measurements for thin granular PdxCl-x films with 0.3 < x < 0.34 on the metallic side near the metal-insulator-transition (xc = 0.3). The resistance versus temperature behavior for these films can be well described as resulting from incipient Anderson localization. MR-data for the films are analysed in the framework of localization and electron-electron interaction, within the limit of weak disorder (kF1, >> 1). This leads to considerable agreement between experimental data and theory, from which we obtain reliable values for the phase coherence length 4 and its temperature dependence, although the films are in the strong scattering limit (kFl,-1).
