Abstract

Faraday rotation and magnetic circular dichroism spectra have been investigated in the exciton absorption region of CuCl, CuBr, and their solid solutions. The characteristic temperature dependence of the observed spectra is successfully interpreted in terms of the mixing effect of the Z~3~ and Z~1,2~ excitons caused by the magnetic field.
