β¦ Synopsis
The ringing phenomena in magnetization in the B phase (assumed to be the Balian-Werthamer state) after a sudden application of magnetic fields are analyzed theoretically. Particular" attention is paid to the wall-fixed geometry, where the oscillation is intrinsically nonlinear. The ringing frequency is determined as a Junction of both the external field and the change in the magnetic field.

Assuming that the B phase of superfluid 3He is described by a spherical triplet state of Balian and Werthamer, the magnetic response of the B phase is formulated in terms of the rotation of the condensate spin axis. In a cylindrical geometry with the axis parallel to an external magnetic field two d
We report results from a new SQUID-based measurement of the total magnetization change of superfluid 3He at the A-B phase transition, AMAB tΒ°tal. We used a simple first-principles calibration technique. At low fields -0.03 T, our data agree with past measurements, verifying the longstanding discrepa
