Abstract

Wissenschaftler des Max‐Planck‐Instituts für Metallforschung in Stuttgart haben einen neuen Mechanismus entdeckt, mit dem man kleinste magnetische Strukturen – so genannte Vortex‐Kerne – mit schwachen Magnetfeldern schnell und verlustfrei umschalten kann. Ihre Methode eröffnet möglicherweise neue Möglichkeiten in der magnetischen Datenspeicherung.
