The quadrupoiar spin echo from deuterons in ordered hydrocarbon systems is shown to provide a much more reliable spectrum than the conventional free induction decay Fourier transform. Spectrometer dead time is eliminatsd, phase correction uncertainties removed and signzllnoise enhanced.
