โœฆ Synopsis

Mumps virus-infected and normal newborn hamster brains were imaged with magnetic resonance (MR) within 24 h after birth and serially scanned. Hydrocephalus developed explosively on Day 6 postinfection and progressed until death occurred soon after Day 10. This study demonstrates the utility of MR in the investigation of experimental viral encephalitis in very small laboratory animals. 0 1987 Academic press Inc.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an indispensable tool for musculoskeletal imaging. The presence of metal, however, raises concerns. The potential risks are loosening and migration of the implant, heating of the metal with surrounding tissue, causing thermal damage, and artifactual distortion whi

Osteotomies of distal femoral diaphysis were fixed intramedullary with self-reinforced poly-L-lactide acid (SR-PLLA) rods in 19 and with metallic rods in 34 adult rabbits. The follow-up times were 8, 16, 24, and 48 weeks. Plain radiographs, computed tomography (CT), quantitative computed tomography
