We present a classification of magnetic reconnection during two current loop coalescence, which may be quite important for the physical process of both solar flares and coronal loop heating in the solar active region. It is suggested that different kinds of the current loop coalescence processes cou

β¦ Synopsis
h is shown by using a 3-D resislive MI ID simulation code, taking inlo account the recombination effect, that magnetic reconnection during collision o[ txvo current loops can be enhanced by lccombination. It is also shown that lhe temperature in the thin current sheet formed between two loops increases fiom f~w lo abot]l thirty limes larger Ihan a case of no recombination, depending on both the plasma beta and the strength of recombination. ]'he simulalion results obtained here may be applicable for a mechanism of chromospheric heating and as an explanalion of X-ray bright poinls as well as solar tlares observed in the chromosphere.
