✦ Synopsis
Hgj_x_yCdxMnyTe crystals in the open-gap region have been successfully grown by the LPE method from a Hg-rich solution. In these crystals, magnetic quantum oscillations due to the magnetophonon resonance and due to the Auger recombination process have been observed. In both oscillations, the temperature dependence of the observed peak positions is found to be stronger than that expected from the band calculation based on the modified Pidgeon-Brown model. The origin of this discrepancy is discussed and it is shown that the observed peak positions of both oscillations can be fitted to the calculation on the assumption of the temperature dependence of the momentum matrix element Ep.
