✦ Synopsis
Powders of Fel0ll_~V x (l 1 4 x ~< 74) with a disordered b.c.c, structure were prepared by ball milling, using a mixture of elemental Fe and V powders and the o phase alloy as starting powders. The milling process was monitored by measuring changes in magnetization and X-ray diffraction spectrum. The Curie temperature for the metastable b.c.c, phase was determined over the V concentration range 11 ~ x ~< 53. The data in the range x ~< 33 agreed well with those in the literature, whereas the data in the range 34 4 x ~< 53 were obtained for the first time.
