✦ Synopsis

The transport and magnetic properties are studied on Pr 5 Ni 2 Si 3 , which has several magnetic orderings. Ferromagnetic/ferrimagnetic orderings are observed at 70 and 55 K and an antiferromagnetic ordering occurs at 43 K. The signature of spin fluctuation is observed below T N . The spin fluctuation is suppressed when the magnetic field exceeds the metamagnetic transition field, H m ¼ 3, T below 12 K, whereupon the magnetoresistance decreases steeply.
