✦ Synopsis

Magnetic ordering in Er,Fe,,_,Mn,B has been studied by powder neutron diffraction at 4.2 I<. At low x. antiferromagnetic ordering is observed on the Er sublattices.

At n 23, antiferromagnetism is also seen on the j, site which is highly populated by Mn. The six Fe sublattices each disorder at a different Mn concentration. These results should challenge the theoretical models of RE-TM compounds
