โœฆ Synopsis

The radical yield in the electron-transfer reaction between thionine triplet and aniline in reversed micelles is increased by an external magnetic field. The saturation value of the effect amounts to 85% (18 kG) and the B1/2 value is 300 G. The magnetic-field effect is discussed on the basis of the radical-pair mechanism with a quantitative consideration of the hyperfmeinduced spin motion.
