✦ Synopsis

This paper gives some clarifying remarks on the magnetic field dependence of the inelastic life time in thin films. We discuss different ways of approximations and previously obtained results. This discussion reveals the short-comings of one of the approximations. The results are also interpreted by use of the physical pictures of the nature of the phase-coherencetime and weak localization.
