✦ Synopsis
The MCD spectrum of formaldehyde in tic vapor phase has been mea:mred and analyzed. Triplet bands occur with unusually hi& ellipticity, allowing identification of several new sin&et-triplet bands. Also, an additional singlet progression, based on two qdanta of the out-of-plane band and a single quantum of the antisymmetric C-H stretch, has been identified.
