โœฆ Synopsis


Resonant soft X-ray Bragg diffraction is used to probe the magnetic and possible orbital ordering below the metal-insulator transition in the NdNiO 3 . Preliminary measurements, performed at the Ni L 2;3 edges, suggest the absence of orbital ordering at T MI . The observed signal probes the magnetic ordering of the Ni and Nd moments.
